Job Title: Legal Assistant – Residential Conveyancing
Location: Broxburn, West Lothian
Job Type: Full-Time, Office-Based
Salary: £24,000 – £28,000 depending on experience 

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a busy Residential Conveyancing team based in Broxburn.

You’ll support Solicitors with a high volume of property transactions including purchases, sales, remortgages and transfers of title.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Solicitors with day-to-day conveyancing transactions
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing and submitting LBTT returns
  • Handling registrations and post-completion tasks
  • Liaising with clients, lenders and third parties
  • Managing case files and ensuring accuracy throughout

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in Residential Conveyancing (essential)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
